Facilitated Debrief
OBJECTIVE
Check-6 will lead a Facilitated Debrief on current or past projects to identify lessons learned, vulnerabilities and determine future courses of action.
OVERVIEW
Conduct timeline driven Facilitated Debrief to include:
- Instruction on Performance Debriefing Disciplines
- Conduct a Review of Plan to be Debriefed
- Identify Strengths and Weaknesses of Plan and Planning Process
- Identify Strengths and Weaknesses of the Brief (communication)
- Identify Strengths and Weaknesses in Project Execution
- Determine and Document Lessons Learned
- Develop Future Courses of Action
- Leave with documented Lessons Learned and a Path Forward
CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS
The Facilitated Debrief is a fast paced, timeline driven process. The Debriefing session will be on the clock for each phase of the debrief. Check-6 consultants will facilitate the event through the Performance Debriefing process, staying focused on the debriefing topic and manage time. At the end of the day there will be a clear path forward and documented lessons learned.
Typically, safety incidents or potential safety incidents are due to a lack of leadership. A proven solution is to hold a ½ day Facilitated Debrief followed by a Performance Excellence Leadership Series Event. Once the lessons learned have been captured and a new plan formulated during the Facilitated Debrief, crews are now able to work on leadership skills taking them to the next level of excellence.
